Week 7

A busy week this week. JV game on Monday night at Marysville, 8th Grade test on Tuesday with 6th grade computer assignments, football at Chapman on Friday and 4th-5th-6th grade football at Riley County on Saturday. Hopefully everyone is keeping up with class work!

September Is Here.....

We are entering the 2nd week of September, and things are really getting busy. The blog updates for class should be starting next week. I'll have updates on class activities and happenings. Stay tuned.

New School Year

Hello, and welcome to the 2009-2010 school year. I am looking forward to an exciting year, with a great new bunch of students. This will be a place to look for what's going on in Social Studies, what I have been up to, and even some of our class pictures or videos.

Hello Class

Welcome to any Baker U students viewing my blog.  I'm working on trying to add some links to this site to my class test/review/game site that I use in my classroom.  I am also going to add a Baker Class Quiz to see how well we all know each other from classroom behavior.  ( I know, that's something that Phate might do, but trust me, I'm no hacker.....or serial killer)

Looking Forward

As I learn more about blogging and technology use in the classroom, I am getting excited about trying some new activities in class this year. Things like google docs, where kids can work on a project from home, without having to log in to the school's server, or have special programs on their home computers. Another is using social networking (facebook, twitter, myspace) to keep up with what is going on with the students and school activities. There are so many new things that can be done to add to the school experience in today's techno-world.

Summer Time Blues

It is almost the middle of summer, and things are crazy busy.  The kids need to go to the pool, to practice, to golf, to grandmas, to Manhattan......I'm not sure if I'll get anything done this summer, except go to class, and play taxi driver!
